It sort of got lost in all the attention on the Governor of Illinois yesterday, but Sen. Larry Craig of Idaho has lost another appeal to withdraw his guilty plea in his Minneapolis airport sex sting arrest.

Craig has been trying to withdraw his guilty plea, ever since it became public and basically forced him to retire from the Senate at the end of this year.

"I am extremely disappointed by the action of the Minnesota Court of Appeals," said Craig in a statement.

"I disagree with their conclusion and remain steadfast in my belief that nothing criminal or improper occurred at the Minneapolis airport."

"I maintain my innocence, and currently my attorneys and I are reviewing the decision and looking into the possibility of appealing," Craig concluded.

You may recall that Craig was arrested after a stop in a Minneapolis airport bathroom that supposedly included certain hand movements and more that indicated a wish for more than just toilet paper.
