WSB Washington Correspondent Jamie Dupree was asked on WSB-TV Channel 2 today about the announcement by Sen. Johnny Isakson (R-GA) that the Georgia Republican was suffering from Parkinson's Disease.

Asked about the Isakson announcement, several Georgia Republicans in the Congress told me that they had noticed a deterioration in Isakson's physical health in recent months, but said his mind was clearly just as sharp as ever.

In recent weeks, Isakson has been seen walking very slowly in the hallways at the U.S. Capitol; he says that slow gait is one of the side effects of Parkinson's that he has experienced.
