After spending much of the week focusing more on her own election plans, Hillary Clinton switched gears and ratcheted up her attacks on Donald Trump, using his early morning Twitter salvos against a former Miss Universe to argue that the Republican nominee is not worthy of the job of President of the United States.

"Who gets up at 3 o'clock in the morning, to engage in a Twitter attack against a former Miss Universe?" Clinton asked with an incredulous note in her voice.

"He hurled as many insults as he could - really, why does he do things like that?" Clinton asked.

"Because he's an idiot!" a woman in the crowd yelled back.

Clinton also worked in an old line that she had dropped from her regular stump speech, as she mocked Trump's trip to visit the Mexican President, saying Trump "choked" when he didn't bring up the subject of his border wall.

"He finds it a lot easier to insult women than he does to talk to the President of Mexico about building a wall," Clinton said to loud cheers.

It was a marked change from Clinton's first appearance of the day in Fort Pierce, where she lobbed a few verbal darts at Trump, but spent most of her time on her plans to expand national service.

But in this visit to Broward County, outside of Fort Lauderdale, Clinton took a much more aggressive tone on her Republican opponent.

"I mean, his latest Twitter meltdown is unhinged, even for him," Clinton added.

Clinton also made sure to directly appeal for support from voters in the Sunshine State, with less than six weeks until Election Day.

"I'll be here in Florida so much that you will get sick of me," Clinton promised the crowd.

"Remember - friends don't let friends vote for Trump," Clinton added.
