"The Homesman" is the Tommy Lee Jonesiest Tommy Lee Jones movie we've seen in a while. It opens in Atlanta on Nov. 21.

Here's the trailer:

He stars as the fast-talking, quick-witted, hard-living George Briggs, who is alternately tough-talking and tender, always laconic and more complicated than he seems at first when we meet him bunking down illegally in another guy's house in what's then known the Nebraska Territory.

Jones stars with Hilary Swank, who plays the practical and headstrong Mary Bee Cuddy, who has managed to become prosperous as a homesteader, but longs for companions other than her mules and crops.

Briggs and Cuddy team up to drive a wagon across the unforgiving territory to deliver back east three women suffering mental anguish after trying to make it as pioneer wives. Meryl Streep has a supporting role as a minister's wife.

The movie was filmed partly in Georgia, and I'm interviewing Jones shortly. What would you like to know?
