The Big Dawg will be in the house come Monday. Trent "Big Dawg III," that is.

The superfan who carries on the tradition started by his grandfather and made famous by his father - attending University of Georgia games with a bulldog painted on his head - was able to attend the Rose Bowl courtesy of Atlanta-based PrimeSport. We caught up with him a couple of days ahead of time holding court on the Santa Monica Pier. Many of the folks wanting a photo with him and his notable noggin were Oklahoma fans.

A friend is taking him to the 2018 College Football Playoff National Championship at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. ( Take a look inside this six-figure luxury suite at Mercedes-Benz. )

His father Mike "Big Dawg" Woods died one year ago Thursday at age 65. He suffered a fatal heart attack, having survived heart surgery two years prior.  "I love the Bulldogs," Mike Woods said in a video message to fans ahead of the 2015 surgery."I’ve always said, I was born a Bulldog, even gonna die a Bulldog.”
