Why Tyler Perry has to persuade his girlfriend to fly first-class

Tyler Perry's girlfriend and mother of their child, Gelila Bekele, is so down-to-earth that he has to persuade her to accept luxurious flying accommodations.

"I have to force her to fly first class. She's coach, she's on the bus," Perry said during an interview with Steve Harvey . "I'm a little different."

Perry owns his own plane, which he has generously used to treat colleagues or assist friends in need.

In August, he arranged for several of his staff members to travel aboard his private wings to Copenhagen, Denmark to see Beyonce's Formation World Tour.

Perry's latest movie, "Boo! A Madea Halloween," is in theaters now, right in time for Halloween.
