Why Tyler Perry has to persuade his girlfriend to fly first-class

Tyler Perry's girlfriend and mother of their child, Gelila Bekele, is so down-to-earth that he has to persuade her to accept luxurious flying accommodations.
"I have to force her to fly first class. She's coach, she's on the bus," Perry said during an interview with Steve Harvey . "I'm a little different."

Perry owns his own plane, which he has generously used to treat colleagues or assist friends in need.
In 2012, after the death of Whitney Houston, Perry arranged for her remains to be transported via his private plane from California to New Jersey.
He then eulogized the late Houston at her funeral.
Perry's latest movie, "Boo! A Madea Halloween," is in theaters now, right in time for Halloween.
