Supermodel Tyra Banks is a mom!

Supermodel, beauty business entrepreneur and television personality Tyra Banks adds another title: Mom.

She and her boyfriend Erik Asla have welcomed a son, York Banks Asla, born via surrogate. She announced the happy news in an emotional post on Instagram, making note of her long journey to become a mother and thanking the woman who carried York as a surrogate.

Last fall she announced she was stepping away from the daytime show “FABLife” to focus on her beauty business.

Turns out she had a much bigger job awaiting her! Congrats to the whole family!
