Politicians frequently invoke President Ronald Reagan's name and ideals when talking about policy or platforms. Now actress, author and pundit Stacey Dash says the entertainment industry ought to look to the Gipper, too. "We can and must return to Reagan's Hollywood," she says.

Georgia lawmaker said she wanted to “slap” Stacey Dash

Her call to action was part of a statement announcing Dash America, which she described as "an exhilarating political movement that focuses on unity, faith, family values, and feminism."

From her statement:

Her final talking point urges a return to Reag-entertainment:

"I believe we can and must return to Reagan's Hollywood, a time when movies were pro-America, pro-freedom, and pro-family values. We are going to make that happen by writing, producing, and distributing films that showcase what is great about America and show us how to achieve its potential."

Reagan was, of course, an actor before transitioning to politics. Here's a promo clip for his 1951 comedy, "Bedtime for Bonzo." (Note how the presenter pronounces his name).
