A video clip of Ron Clark Academy students learning they would all be able to attend an early screening of "Black Panther" went viral . But as is always the case at the innovative school, the fun was paired with learning.

"Yesterday, our students took a deeper dive into Wakanda as they were fortunate to receive a lesson about the art of storytelling by an African griot, Mama Koku," the school said in a social media post. "Students learned how important the role of a griot is in African society as they participated in an interactive story centered around finding your identity, collaborating with others, and using your talents."
The school celebrated its 10th anniversary in November at a celebratory gala. Its longtime supporter Oprah Winfrey- who propelled its co-founder to fame when Clark visited her daytime talk show years ago, paving the way for the fame and book sales that would ultimately fund the school - attended and made a surprise announcement: A $5 million donation.
