Cardi B Leads 2019 'Billboard' Music Awards With 21 Nominations Cardi likes her nominations like that. The rapper fell just short of the record for most 'Billboard' nominations, set by Drake and The Chainsmokers with 22 nominations each in 2017. Cardi made history earlier this year when she became the first solo female rapper to win the Grammy for best rap album. Last night’s Billboard Music Awards were star studded, and some of Atlanta’s most beloved celebrities were in attendance.

Cardi B was accompanied by her husband Offset. She walked the carpet in a yellow two-piece that was bedazzled with jewels, and the Migos member was decked out in all black.

The lady emcee took home six awards, including best rap female artist and best rap song for “I Like It.”
