A previous statement sent on Nick's behalf said he'd staying away from the hospital to avoid risking a confrontation with family members. One of Bobbi Kristina's relatives took out arestraining order on him last year.

Although Bobbi Kristina, hospitalized since a Jan. 31 medical emergency, often referred to Nick as her "husband" both sides of her family dispute that they're legally wed.

In prior statements Nick has referred to her with terms such as his "companion" (not wife).

Several of her family members attended a public prayer vigil in her honor while other relatives have issued statements seeking privacy. Her father Bobby Brown has blasted "false reports" regarding her condition recent days, in statements issued through his lawyer.

Both the Brown and Houston families have requested prayer and privacy as Bobbi Kristina, 21, remains hospitalized.

Here's the statement sent from Nick's lawyers:

"Bobby Brown has consistently prohibited Nick, who Bobbi Kristina would want by her side, from being there. Per his own words, Mr. Brown has only "offered an opportunity to potentially meet with Bobbi Kristina" if Nick were to meet certain conditions, conditions that we, his attorneys, have advised him not to meet, particularly in light of Mr. Brown's inability to guarantee access.

But in an effort to do all he can to visit, Nick has repeatedly offered to meet with Mr. Brown privately to discuss his request in person, rather than through lawyers. Those offers have also been rejected. We hope Mr. Brown has a change of heart."
