"Maze Runner" actor Dylan O'Brien recovering from set injury

Actor Dylan O'Brien is on the mend following an injury on the set of "Maze Runner: The Death Cure." 

"Jorge says Thomas is doing well," series author James Dashner posted, referring to Giancarlo Esposito and O'Brien by their characters' names.

“He’s healing very well,” Esposito said during an E! interview to promote his current project, "The Jungle Book." “He got put together a couple of weeks ago… he’s one tough cookie.”

That's exactly the term director Wes Ball used to describe O'Brien's tenacity soon after the accident.

The movie is filming in British Columbia. Production temporarily halted while O'Brien gets better but is expected to resume soon.

“I just want to let everyone know that yes, Dylan was hurt, but that he’s going to be okay. Not life threatening in any way,” Dashner posted immediately after the incident. “Production is postponed but certainly not cancelled. All that matters now is that Dylan recovers. We love you, Dylan!!!”
