Magic Johnson defends Steve Harvey after Miss Universe gaffe

Steve Harvey came in for quite a Twit storm after announcing the wrong contestant as Miss Universe winner but his buddy Magic Johnson was quick with an effusive public show of support.

Harvey accidentally named Miss Colombia Ariadna Gutierrez as the evening's top winner when  Miss Philippines Pia Wurtzbach actually claimed the crown.

“I have to apologize,” Harvey said after walking back onstage.

He tweeted an apology but called Miss Philippines by a book in the Bible and misspelled Colombia. He then apologized and deleted the tweet.
