Longtime local broadcaster Frank Ski is headed down the aisle.

He slipped an engagement ring on the left hand of Dr. Patrice Basanta-Henry Saturday night at Buckhead Life Restaurant Group's Lobster Bar Sea Grille in Miami Beach. Dr. Basanta-Henry practices at Atlanta Maternal-Fetal Medicine .

"Thank You for all the well wishes," Ski posted Monday on his Instagram account. "Patrice and I are humbled. I am always Thankful for God's Blessing over my family especially as I move forward into this new chapter. A special Thank You to Melita and B&M Jewelers. You did that!"

Ski has kept V-103 listeners entertained and informed for decades, lending his voice and platform to highlighting community concerns such as gun control, police brutality and politics, and dispensing timeless wisdom during his Inspirational Vitamin segments.

During a recent interview he talked about his proudest role, as a dad. He has four sons: Jarrett, 27, Franklin, 17, and twins Blake and Harrison, 16.

“I am truly amazed at how great my kids are,” he said. “Watching them every step of the way be better than me has been really amazing. They’re so much better than me. Smarter, more talented. I sit back and I’m like, wow.”

Best wishes to the prospective groom and bride-elect!
