A dedicated philanthropist devoted to children's causes , Jordan is certainly suited for grandfatherhood. He has authored a number of children's books and last year announced a partnership with Kennesaw State University and LakePoint Sporting Community to launch the Brian Jordan Center for Excellence and Professional Development. The Bartow County facility, scheduled to open in March, is affiliated with KSU's WellStar College of Health and Human Services' Department of Exercise Science and Sports Management.

Jordan also stays active with his foundation, which operates sports camps and literacy programs for kids and awards scholarships to rising college students. Nearly 40 foundation scholars are pursuing degrees at universities throughout the country.

For now he seems focused on enjoying his new gig.

"I'm a granddad," he posted. "Caedence has come into my life. Thank you God for a healthy boy and the health of my daughter. God be the glory."

Congrats!

Donald Trump's administration deployed the military to Washington, D.C., in the name of fighting crime, and in an Aug. 11 news conference he mentioned the possibility of military being sent to other large American cities, all of which are led by Black, Democratic mayors. And while Atlanta wasn't included in Trump's list, the city fits that profile under Mayor Andre Dickens. (Photo Illustration: Philip Robibero / AJC | Source: Getty)
