Erick Erickson returns to the airwaves on Thursday

Erick Erickson, who on Sunday revealed he was recovering after doctors discovered blood clots in his lungs , will be back in the radio saddle at 5 p.m. Thursday.

He is cleared to return as host of Atlanta's Evening News, which airs from 5 to 7 p.m. weeknights on News 95-5 and AM 750 WSB, but will broadcast from his home studio. Given yesterday's New York primary and others on the near horizon, there is plenty to talk about.

"The Club for Growth’s president is going to come on to make a big Georgia endorsement and Sean Spicer from the Republican National Committee is going to stop by to talk about the delegates, rules, and convention," Erickson told the AJC. He'll also address his medical ordeal.

In an open letter posted Sunday Erickson detailed the symptoms that ultimately led to his diagnosis and shared the gravity of his situation.

"It is rather sobering to have doctors tell you that you should be dead," he said.

Moving forward, he has some takeaways: I appreciate all the prayers, am glad to be home, and have learned my lesson to always listen to my wife and go to the doctor when she says to.”
