As all of America mourns the loss of beloved TV mom Florence Henderson, her on-screen "family" members are sharing memories of the actress best known for her role as wise and loving Carol Brady. She died Thursday at 82.
"Florence Henderson was a dear friend for so very many years and in my heart forever, Maureen McCormick ("Marsha Brady") posted on Twitter. "Love and hugs to her family. I'll miss you dearly."
"Of course we are all devastated by the loss of our TV Mom, but four magnificent human beings are proof that Florence was a wonderful mother in real life," posted Susan Olsen ("Cindy Brady"). "It is for them that my heart is aching."
Henderson died at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles on Thursday night, a day after she was hospitalized, her publicist said. She had suffered heart failure.
"Deeply saddened," Barry Williams ("Greg Brady") posted. "Florence was one of the most gracious people I have ever known, Proud to call her Mom and life long friend. #RIPFlorence"
The estate of the late Davy Jones, one of the most famous guest-stars to appear on "The Brady Bunch," added condolences as well: "Saddened to hear tonight of the passing of Florence Henderson."
