Twitter had a good laugh when Bow Wow posted a swank private-plane photo .. then turned out to be on a commercial flight.

Wouldn't you know a fellow passenger would just happen to see his fancy post, then spot Shad Moss on board? Her tweet launched #BowWowChallenge, where people flooded their timelines with hilarious spoof tweets.

PAST COVERAGE: Why Twitter is laughing at Bow Wow

Turns out Mr. Wow was headed to New York for the launch event promoting WE tv's new reality show, "Growing Up Hip Hop in Atlanta" and of course #BowWowChallenge came up. Here's how he responded:

Zonnique Pullins, Shaniah Mauldin, Reginae Carter, Ayana Fite and

Brandon Barnes joined industry legends, including Jermaine Dupri, DJ Hurricane, Ms. Deb and  Da Brat at the event, held at Manhattan's iPic Theater. The screening was  followed by an after-party at The Tuck Room, where SiriusXM's Sway Calloway moderated a Q&A.

“Once America got a hold of it I said, ‘OK..we got a show coming. This is probably gonna be the newest hot show on WE tv…I’m runnin’ with it,” Bow Wow said, according to an event recap transcript provided to the AJC by WE tv. “We gonna ride this wave, we gonna spin this thing around. And for me and my homies, we joke all the time. Like, we be at the studio, we be at the bar, and it’s no cut. What I mean by that is there’s no holds barred when we crack jokes…Sometimes we need that laughter. Laughter—that’s happiness, you know what I’m sayin’?”
