Bobby Brown inks a new book deal

The news comes days after the latest court documents filed on Bobbi Kristina's behalf lambasted her companion Nick Gordon for discussing the case in the media and scolded him for possibly shopping for a book deal of his own.

The civil suit, initially filed against Nick while Bobbi Kristina was still alive, has been amended several times to list jarring allegations of physical harm and financial impropriety. Nick's legal team has filed for a dismissal and calls the suit slanderous and without merit, noting that no police reports, affidavits, toxicology reports, witness statements or any other backing evidence have been offered up to substantiate the claims.

The latest amendment to the suit castigates Nick for "pandering to the press in the hopes that he and his counsel will be widely quoted so that his popularity will rise when he seeks to secure the inevitable book deal – which he may already have."
