Bobbi Kristina's father Bobby Brown releases statement amid dire reports

Bobbi Kristina Brown's family has been gathering in the days since she was rushed to the hospital Saturday.

Amid reports they may have been preparing to say goodbye, her father Bobby Brown released a statement: "If we issued a statement every time the media published a false report regarding this matter, that's all we would be doing 24 hours a day. This is false, just as is the vast majority of the other reporting that is currently taking place."

A LOOK BACK: Fans mourn Whitney Houston nearly three years ago to the date.

Ebony, TMZ and People have been among the outlets reporting that relatives who have been praying for a miracle may instead be preparing to mourn, nearly three years to the date that Bobbi Kristina's mother, Whitney Houston, died at age 48.

Like her daughter, Houston was found face-down and unresponsive in a bathtub.

Bobbi Kristina was discovered Saturday morning and rushed to North Fulton Hospital; police documents show the emergency call went out as a "drowning."

She was moved from North Fulton Hospital to Emory University Hospital this week  as the investigation into her medical emergency continued. Roswell police initially released some information about the case, noting that no sign of a struggle was detected and no drugs were found "out in the open."

A police spokesperson declined to comment on more recent reports that authorities did find drugs during a subsequent, more thorough search.

Immediately after her hospitalization and ever since, a steady stream of famous friends have been offering prayers and support. The virtual prayer chain is surrounding the family now as they potentially face the end of Bobbi Kristina's life.

She is 21.
