She was found face-down in a bathtub by her husband Nick Gordon and a friend, who started live-saving measures until police arrived, Roswell Police Department spokesman Lisa Holland said during a news conference. Brown was taken to North Fulton Hospital and reportedly was placed in a medically induced coma to address swelling, TMZ reported.

An AJC reporter was told to leave hospital property. A spokesperson could not confirm any details regarding Brown, citing medical privacy laws.

UPDATE: News of Bobbi Kristina's medical emergency prompted an online prayer chain, with celebrities and others posting prayers and support.

Whitney Houston died at age 48 in February 2012 after being discovered unresponsive in a bathtub in a Beverly Hills hotel room.

A cousin of Bobbi Kristina's told NBC that Krissy, as she is known to family, has been through a rough time, given the upcoming third anniversary of her mother's death, but said she will pull through.

"She's a tiger," Jerod Brown said.

Today, the Rev. Jesse Jackson is among the personalities asking publicly for prayer:
