Winfrey posted a wonderful photo of herself and Cicely Tyson at Aman's christening:

Speaking of Winfrey, her key culinary connection in Atlanta is Art Smith. Her former personal chef, Smith's empire includes Southern Art at the InterContinental hotel in Buckhead. That's where Oprah, direcor Ava DuVernay, actor David Oyelowo and others connected with the film "Selma" celebrated its wrap in June 2014.

In July 2014, Winfrey and Smith collaborated on the meal to be served after poet Maya Angelou's memorial service, where those celebrating her life included former President Bill Clinton and First Lady Michelle Obama. Smith and four members of Southern Art's culinary team prepared buttermilk fried chicken with whipped potatoes, garlic green beans and red pepper gravy, Coca-Cola glazed ham, collard greens, mac and cheese and succotash, with coconut cake for dessert.

Smith isn't the only chef in town when Oprah visits. She live-tweeted her show "Belief" from Kevin Rathbun's bar. Local resident Jared Sapp happened to be there that night and experienced this magical moment:
