If you’ve been wanting to try one of the many restaurants at Avalon in Alpharetta, several of which have debuted in the past year, head over during Avalon Restaurant Week, which runs Oct. 13-20, to get your sampling on with discounted eats.

Eight restaurants will be offering prix-fixe menus this year at $15, $25, $35 or $45, for lunch and dinner, including Barleygarden Kitchen & Craft Bar, Colletta, District III, Goldbergs, MF Bar, Oak Steakhouse, South City Kitchen and Ted's Montana Grill.

(Note: Not all restaurants are offering both lunch and dinner deals, so check menus online at experienceavalon.com before you head out. Prices are per person, excluding alcohol, tax and gratuity.)

Barleygarden Kitchen & Craft Bar
Participating in Avalon Restaurant Week for the second year in a row, Barleygarden Kitchen & Craft Bar will be featuring a $15 lunch option and a $25 dinner menu. For lunch, you'll get the choice of red pepper hummus, hand-cut fries, fried cauliflower, fried Brussels sprouts or a garden salad, shared with a friend, along with a choice of any of their six signature sandwiches (the Big Cheese with apricot ham is our favorite). For dinner, Barleygarden is offering full-size servings of the same starters, along with a choice of any of their mains — from blackened shrimp and grits to the trotter sausages and kraut (knock-braut and kielbasa with roasted potatoes, sauerkraut, beer mustard and a fried egg) — plus a King of Pops dessert. Enjoy your eats on their killer rooftop or patio while people-watching and sipping one of the rotating brews from their expansive beer selection.

MF Bar

Sushi lovers can check out MF Bar (the spinoff from MF Sushi's Alex Kinjo), which focuses on hot and cold plates, including sushi rolls and nigiri, and a wide selection of sake. The restaurant week menu is still under wraps, but standout dishes to look for include the kampachi appetizer with lime zest and yuzu ponzu, and Madai (Japanese snapper) on the signature nigiri menu. And, if you spot the Chilean sea bass sprinkled with Japanese chili powder, order it!

Ted's Montana Grill

At Ted's, you can opt for the $25 prix-fixe lunch menu or a $35 prix-fixe dinner menu, including your choice of a starter, entrée and dessert (plus a drink for the dinner option). We recommend kicking things off with Karen's Flying-D Bison Chili, and then moving on to an entrée like a classic bacon cheeseburger or the salmon burger for lunch. For dinner, consider the bison short ribs instead. If you like some heat, try the Green and Hot burger, which has pepper jack, grilled jalapeno, guacamole and sriracha aioli (made with either beef or bison).
