Residents of Kennesaw are seeing more dining options lately. On the heels of  the opening of beer and barbecue joint The Nest and the announcement that  fast-casual Greek chain Little Greek Fresh Grill is opening soon comes news that City Tavern has unlocked its doors.

Located at 780 Cobb Place Blvd., City Tavern is a sports bar serving up American pub grub with global accents. The menu features numerous small bites like Sriracha-touched pork rinds as well as meatier fare like wings, burgers, pizza and sandwiches. Beverage offerings at the full bar include nearly three dozen beers on tap, primarily from area breweries, as well as an extensive cocktail list. Guests at this seven-days-a-week spot can grab one of the 225 seats in the dining room, where the open kitchen puts the culinary team on display, or dine al fresco on the patio.

The venture is the newest from restaurateur Kemal Karsli and chef Harry Pagancoss. Karsli also owns Sivas, a Midtown spot that focuses on Turkish and Mediterranean fare. Pagancoss' resume includes hosting Latin American travelogue "GPS: Guided by Flavors" as well as presenting shows for Univision, Telemundo and Mexican Media company TV Azteca. Pagancoss is also opening an urban food hall, Caravaca Market, in Midtown in the fall of 2016 .
