Metro Atlanta beer lovers will soon have a couple of new spots to quench their thirst (and curb their hunger).

Allen Porter -- a real estate entrepreneur whose father, Winston, is an owner of STATS Brewpub in downtown Atlanta -- is set to open Porter Pizza & Brewery in Sandy Springs next month and PorterQ & Brewery in March, What Now Atlanta reports.

Porter Pizza -- which will be located at 6370 Powers Ferry Road NW -- will serve up New York-style pizza and bar food staples, while Porter Q, to be located at 5486 Chamblee Dunwoody Road, will offer a barbecue menu. Both spots will each brew six beers, with New England IPAs, pale ales and pilsners set to be on tap.

Gary Deems, an apprentice at STATS, will be the head brewer for both projects. STATS, located at 300 Marietta St. NW, recently started brewing its own beer.
