Mojave to open, Rose & Crown to close temporarily and other dining news from the week

These are the stories that created buzz on the metro Atlanta dining scene this week:

The owner of Atlanta bar Rose & Crown Tavern is slated to open Mojave in the former Ray Rio Bravo space in Sandy Springs, Tomorrow's News Today reports.

Mexican restaurant Mojave could could open as soon as next month at 6450 Powers Ferry Road. Ray's Rio Bravo closed in the space in 2017. Before that, it served as home to Peter Chang's Tasty China II.

Owner Miguel Ayoub plans to close Rose & Crown in June and will reopen in 2020 or 2021 in mixed-use development Village at Powers on Powers Ferry Road close to SunTrust Park in Cobb County, and a five-minute drive from Mojave.

MetroFresh is planning to open at One Midtown Plaza at 1360 Peachtree St. in June, What Now Atlanta reports.
