Let us be frank -- there’s a new hot dog joint coming to Marietta.
Fox Dogs is slated to open this summer in the former Angel’s Burritos space at 154 Roswell St. on the Marietta Square, the Marietta Daily Journal first reported.
The spot will offer hot dogs dressed in a variety of styles including New York, Chicago, Greek and Southern. Other options will include veggie dogs, Italian beef sandwiches, chili and sides including corn nuggets, fried macaroni and cheese bites and tater tots. Angel Ibarrondo, who previously worked at Porch Light Latin Kitchen in Smyrna and Kevin Rathbun Steak in Atlanta, will serve as kitchen manager.
The space will include seating for 24 inside in addition to 16 seats on an outdoor patio.
The restaurant will be the first brick-and-mortar venture for owner Zach Fox, who starting operating a hot dog cart in his late teens and currently works as a realtor.
Fox Dogs is set to be open for lunch Monday-Thursday and lunch and dinner Friday-Saturday.
