Get inspired over breakfast with American soccer legend Jill Ellis on Friday, March 6 for International Women's Day. The World Affairs Council of Atlanta will host the two-time World Cup champion coach for a conversation about empowering women on and off the field as part of its LeadHERship Speaking Series.

The breakfast will take place from 7:30-9:30 a.m. at the Grand Hyatt Buckhead on March 6. Tickets cost $50 for members of the World Affairs Council of Atlanta, and non-members can buy them for $85 in advance or $125 at the door.

Jill Ellis is the all-time winningest coach U.S. soccer history; she recently retired after winning her second consecutive World Cup title in 2019. Ellis’ U.S. Women’s National Team was collectively named 2019 Athletes of the Year by Time Magazine, while Ellis was honored as the World Coach of the Year by FIFA, soccer’s international governing body. In 2015, she became the first female coach to win the World Cup.

The breakfast conversation will be facilitated by GPB Senior Anchor Rickey Bevington and proceeds from the event will benefit the LeadHERship Speaking Series, which supports discussions about gender equality and female empowerment around Atlanta. Tickets can be purchased here.
