Get a taste of Chamblee at the city's annual food festival

Taste of Chamblee is a crash course in that city’s burgeoning dining scene.
The annual food festival, now in its 10th year and hosted by the City of Chamblee, will take place Oct. 7 from 4 to 8 p.m. It will be held in downtown Chamblee, at the intersection of Peachtree Road and Broad Street.
A variety of Chamblee restaurants will be on hand to offer samples of fare that range from Italian to Middle Eastern to Mexican to Southern. While admission is free, tickets for tastings will be sold for $1, and can be redeemed at participating restaurant booths, whose selection will range from $1 to $5 per sample.

Participating restaurants include:

The Halal Guys

JARDI Chocolates

Gus' Fried Chicken

Mad Italian

Frosty Caboose

Vintage Pizza

Snobia's Vegan Baked Goods

Hello Gorgeous

Shane's Rib Shack

Gullah on the Go

Zoe's Kitchen

Hopes Salsa

In addition to food samples, this year's festival will see the addition of two beer gardens, sponsored by Vintage Pizza and new brewery and Japanese restaurant Hopstix and equipped with LED TVs showing football games. There will also be a family-friendly play area.
