Rose + Rye, located in the "Castle" mansion in Midtown, is in the midst of change, including staff changes . Among recent departures from the restaurant was that of its executive chef, Lindsay Owens. However, Owens was not gone long from the Atlanta dining scene. She has since taken a position as executive chef at Joy Café, located at 1100 Peachtree Street in Midtown.

According to Joy Café co-owners Jon and Joy Beber, Owens' primary responsibility at the restaurant will be to develop the menu for and manage its recently launched dinner service. The menu is a seasonal carte that highlights products grown and raised in Georgia.

A native of Austin, Texas, Owens holds nearly 14 years of culinary experience. Prior to her stint at Rose & Rye, she helmed the kitchen at Seward Coop Creamery Café in Minneapolis, Minn.
