Grilled cheese—a simple pleasure that even the most serious foodies still love and crave. At Peach & The Porkchop in Roswell, this childhood staple gets a Southern twist in the form of pimento cheese for a sandwich that’s all grown up but still comfortingly nostalgic. Their grilled pimento cheese sandwich offers a hearty helping of pimento cheese heaped on thick slices of sourdough bread to hold it all together, topped with slices of tomato and then grilled to just the right level of melty goodness. If you’re feeling extra indulgent, add bacon to yours for a little touch of smoky crispness in each bite. A side of house-made potato chips adds a nice crunch alongside the gooey grilled sandwich.

Speaking of sandwiches, the restaurant’s extensive menu boasts an impressive lineup of other sandwiches to choose from— more than 30, in fact—available for both lunch and dinner. The restaurant’s philosophy is to order dishes the way you want them—so, add a fried green tomato, take away onions, customize till your heart’s content. You can even create your very own sandwich—and if it’s extra-tasty, it just might end up on the menu (like the P&P’s Jim II) as part of the regular offering.

But if you're not feeling creative and just want a comforting dish, the Peach & The Porkchop's pimento rendition of grilled cheese will hit the spot—and it's okay if you want to hold the pickles.
