December book signings announced for Atlanta chefs Steven Satterfield and Mitchell Anderson

Cookbook lovers, mark your calendars. Two Atlanta chefs peddling cookbooks are making appearances in the coming days. Whether you need a gift for the home cook in your life or want to build your personal cookbook collection , consider hitting up these area book signings.

Mitchell Anderson, owner of Midtown restaurant MetroFresh (and former actor who appeared on “Doogie Howser, M.D.” and “Party of Five”) has just released his cookbook, “Food and Thought,” The cookbook includes recipes from the MetroFresh menu as well as Anderson’s musings on everything from food to business to family to current events. Meet Anderson on Sat., Dec. 5 from 3 to 5 p.m. at a book signing at The Cook’s Warehouse in Midtown-Ansley Mall, and on Sat., Dec. 12 from 3 to 5 p.m. at The Cook’s Warehouse location in Decatur.

Followers of Steven Satterfield can come out on Sat., Dec. 12 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. to The Fresh Market at 4405 Roswell Road where the executive chef of Miller Union will be signing copies of his 2015 ode to edible plants, “Root to Leaf.” Can’t make that? Find the James Beard Award-nominated chef on Sun., Dec. 13, at 3 p.m at a tasting and signing at Williams-Sonoma at Ponce City Market as well as at a demo and signing at the Sur La Table at Phipps Plaza on Mon., Dec. 14 at 6:30 p.m.
