A lot can happen in a month.

Ryan Catherall, who was the executive chef at Char Korean Bar & Grill in Inman Quarter when it opened in mid-September , is no longer with the restaurant, according to Eater Atlanta.

He's been replaced by Shaun Byun, who previously served as a sous chef and will now serve as chef de cuisine. No details were available on the switch.

Char is owned by Richard Tang, who helped debut Craft Izakaya at Krog Street Market.

The restaurant's menu was developed by Catherall and Byun.

"We’re trying to keep things really traditional,” Catherall told the AJC last month. “Obviously, there are some things on the menu that are aimed toward American tastes. But Shaun even has some things that are from his Korean grandmother, that’s how traditional we’re trying to keep it."
