Slow Lane Peach Hefeweizen

One of Georgia's newest breweries, Line Creek Brewing Co. in Peachtree City is celebrating its first anniversary on Saturday, August 3, with 20 beers on tap, three food trucks, and live music.

And in honor of that — and high peach season in Georgia — Slow Lane Peach Hefeweizen is this week’s Beer Pick.

Profile

Though its redolent of peach season in Georgia, Line Creek’s Slow Lane Peach Hefeweizen is available year-round. A take on the classic German style, it’s brewed with Munich wheat and pilsner malt, Mandarina Bavaria and Nugget hops, German Hefeweizen yeast, and a whole lot of peach puree.

The result is a hazy, fruity beer with classic Hefeweizen notes of banana, clove and bubblegum, plus juicy, peachy, stone fruit favors, and some sweetness among what is otherwise a tart and dry 4.6% alcohol sipper.

Pair with

A natural for summer, Line Creak recommends pairing Slow Lane with seafood, goat cheese, and key lime pie. I think it would great with brats on the grill or peach and blackberry cobbler.
