Bacon isn’t just for breakfast. The restaurants below use bacon to create special appetizer, dinner and dessert dishes.

Better Half: The ever-changing menu at this cozy Midtown restaurant features a mix of southern American and Central American flavors, creating a bevy of specialty dishes. This season, diners can enjoy grilled bacon fillet—a think slab of Georgia-smoked bacon griddled like a steak on a plancha. It's complemented by charred poblano relish, several types of heirloom melon, mint and whipped coconut milk.

Ration & Dram: Here, bacon is better as part of a dessert. Their banana split features vanilla ice cream, a banana, chocolate sauce, hotscotch—butterscotch with a hint of cayenne—spiced pecans, candied cherry juice, a candied cherry and candied bacon, made from their very own house-made cured and smoked bacon.

Twain's Brewpub & Billiards: Chef Savannah Haseler recently revampted this Decatur restaurant's seasonal menu and added pimento bacon deviled eggs with sprouts and picked mustard seeds.

Wendy's: Recently, this fast food chain announced a limited-edition item to its menu: natural-cut fries drizzled with warm cheddar cheese sauce and topped with Applewood smoked bacon and shredded cheddar cheese. It is appropriately named Baconator Fries, inspired by the original Baconator burger.
