A Mexican restaurant from the team behind casual Southern chicken concept Bantam + Biddy has closed after a little more than a year.

ATL Taco shuttered last week at Lenox Square, Tomorrow's News Today reports.

The eatery replaced the Lenox Square location of Bantam + Biddy, from Atlanta chef Shaun Doty and Lance Gummere, in March 2018. the business partners'

ATL Taco covered all the basics of Tex-Mex and American-style Mexican food, serving tacos, burritos and enchiladas among other Mexican specialties.

Doty owns several other dining concepts, including Bantam + Biddy locations at Ansley Mall and in Chattanooga, Tennessee, King BBQ in Buckhead and The Federal in Midtown.

He also has plans to open Bantam + Biddy locations at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport and Amelia Island this month, and is working on converting Chick-a-Biddy at Atlantic Station to a Bantam + Biddy.
