Lights, camera, action: 7 projects filming in Georgia in 2023

Georgia has become the mecca of all things entertainment so it’s no surprise there are so many shows and movies flocking to film in the Peach state. There are several projects that you should be on the lookout for, including some new ones and a few fan favorites. Check out the list of projects below:

7 Little Johnstons

In its 13th season, the family of seven in rural Georgia is currently on record as the largest known family of little people in the world. You can catch their show highlighting their day-to-day lives on TLC, Tuesdays at 9 p.m.

A La Carte

The popular AMC Network streamer “ALLBLK” recently announced that the second season of “A La Carte” is in production in Atlanta. The scripted series is centered around the Black millennial dating experience, filled with lots of love and laughter.

Dear Santa

Jack Black is in Georgia making another hit movie! “Dear Santa” is a comedy film centered around a young boy who mistakenly sends his yearly note to Satan, rather than to Santa. Black is teaming back up with the Farrelly brothers, Bobby and Peter, for this project. The trio is also behind the 2001 “Shallow Hal.”

BMF

The 50 Cent-produced series on STARZ, “BMF,” tells the story of Detroit brothers Demetrius and Terry Flenory and how they became powerful figures in a multi-state drug and money laundering organization.

Family Feud

The show that needs no introduction or description is still making families laugh everywhere. The Atlanta filmed show is filming another season so be on the lookout for all new episodes. And if you’re up for the challenge, here’s everything you need to know about auditions.

You’re Cordially Invited

The comedy film that’ll be released on Amazon Prime features Reese Witherspoon and Will Ferrell. There aren’t currently many details surrounding the movie, except that it will film in Atlanta and it “reportedly involves two weddings that are booked at the same venue, on the same weekend.”

Divorce Court

You can bring your heartbreak hotel woes in front of Judge Star Jones on Fox’s Divorce Court. With everything from infidelity to financial issues, the show is bringing life lessons with a few laughs along the way.
