Go ahead and mark the date on your calendar – John Mayer will be taking over the State Farm Arena stage Monday, March 27.

CHECK OUT: 5 must see-concerts in Atlanta this week

This will be the first time in Mayer’s career that he’ll be performing a solo acoustics tour. I can hear the pure, raw talent already! Mayer will be leaning heavily on his acoustic guitar work with special performances on piano and electric guitar. Mayer made the announcement about the tour, via social media, saying, “I’ll be playing old songs. Newer songs. Songs you haven’t heard yet that I’ll be road testing - all on acoustic, electric, and piano.”

Cities like New York, Toronto, Nashville, and Cleveland in addition to a host of others will get to experience this one-of-a-kind tour.

If you’ve been following Mayer’s career, you know he is known for his guitar playing, soulful voice and top-notch songwriting abilities. The Grammy award-winning musician has lit up the charts with several massive hits including “New Light,” “Gravity,” “Love on the Weekend,” “Heartbreak Warfare,” “Daughters,” “Waiting on the World to Change,” “Last Train Home” and “Your Body Is a Wonderland.” According to a press release, this tour has been 20 years in the making and will feature rare, full acoustic sets from John Mayer performing these songs, and many more. So far, we know that JP Saxe, Joy Oladokun, and Alec Benjamin will open the show.
