When it comes to throwing shade and spilling tea, you can count on the ladies from the Real Housewives of Atlanta. They did just that at BravoCon 2022.

If you missed it, BravoCon flooded the streets of New York this past weekend and it was reality TV heaven. BravoCon is similar to Comic-Con but rather for all the shows on Bravo’s network, including the Real Housewives franchises. Of course, our favorites from the RHOA showed up slaying their looks and taking shots at each other along the way. Don’t worry, it wasn’t just mud-slinging and back-and-forth banter, there were a lot of moments that showed the ladies consider each other family at the end of the day. Let’s break down some of the juiciest moments.

Kandi Burruss on Marlo Hampton officially joining RHOA

While Marlo has been around the RHOA ladies for years now, she has never officially held a peach. So, how does RHOA OG Kandi Burruss feel about the change? “I think it changed and it didn’t change,” Burruss told the host during the Real Housewives of Atlanta BravoCon panel. “I mean, I think Marlo has always been a part of the group because she’s been with us for a very long time. I think the things that did change, that were pleasant changes… we get to see more of her life. We got to learn more about her mom; we got to learn more about her life with her nephews.”

Marlo also chimed in about her sentiments towards finally being a peach holder. “It just felt good. I felt it was time. I always speak my mind. I live in my truth. I may not word it correctly, but you always know what I’m thinking and I’m never going to back down from it or lie about it.”

Kenya Moore on making up with certain housewives but not others

Most of us know Kenya Moore has had her share of issues with several of the ladies in the group, but why does she seem to bounce back with some and not others? It all depends on how deep the words cut. “I think the thing is with Sheree or any housewife, as long as they don’t go below the belt, we can get over anything,” Moore shared with the host during the panel. “With Sheree, we have fought about stupid stuff like houses, and baseboards and trim… that’s lightweight, you know? So, I feel like, as long as you keep it above the belt and you don’t try to destroy someone, then I think that you know, we can always recover from that.”

Kandi Burruss on Real Housewives being transparent

Kandi has been around since season two of RHOA, so it was only fitting that the host of the BravoCon panel asked her what she thought made a good housewife cast member. “I always say, it has to be somebody who doesn’t mind being their true self on camera and off. Like I hate when somebody fakes their life on camera… we want to see your family, we want to see your relationship… we want to know when you walk away from the group, that you’ve got other stuff going on … and we want you to be open to showing it. Don’t be telling us you ain’t going to show us stuff. We want to see!”

If they had to switch to another franchise, which would it be?

No need to panic; it doesn’t look like the ladies will be moving out of Atlanta anytime soon. This was simply a hypothetical question from the host. Sheree Whitfield and Marlo Hampton opted for the Beverly Hills franchise, while Sanya Richards-Ross and Drew Sidora said they would go for Potomac. Kenya Moore couldn’t decide and just ended up wanting to go on another Ultimate Girls Trip (which takes ladies from several different franchises and puts them together for just that, a girls’ trip). Kandi Burruss made her sentiments known simply by saying, “I’m not moving!”

Kenya Moore talks co-parenting status with estranged husband Marc Daly

We might have all been hoping things would have gotten better between Moore and Daly, but it doesn’t look like it. “In terms of co-parenting, there really is no co-parenting. Unfortunately, I hope it to be in a better place at some point. I’m just going to keep being positive and prayerful and hopefully it’ll be better in the future,” Moore shared during the panel. She went on to say her divorce would be final at any moment.
