Oktoberfest is celebrated in Germany from mid to late September, but because the festivities are just so much fun, many events will often carry through October. Here are four exciting events in Atlanta to celebrate and honor Oktoberfest, so get your steins ready!
Oktoberfest at Red’s Beer Garden
Over the weekend, Red’s Beer Garden will be filling steins and stomachs in honor of Oktoberfest. The three-day celebration is filled with food and beer specials along with giveaways. While Friday and Sunday’s celebrations promise to be chill, for revelers ready to party, there’s live polka on Saturday starting at 4 p.m. and a Das Boot Beer Chug competition at 6 p.m.

Eventide Brewing’s Oktoberfest
Eventide will be celebrating Oktoberfest all day long on Saturday, Oct. 1. The brewery is featuring six German beer varieties on tap, plus authentic fare from Coffyn Pyes and Hot Dog Pete’s. And don’t miss the stein holding contest where you can win $100 in bar cash!

Blacktoberfest at Hippin Hops’ Brewery,
You can’t miss Atlanta’s Blacktoberfest!
The third installment of Black Brew Culture’s incredible beer, food, art and entertainment festival is coming to Stone Mountain’s Hippin Hops’ Brewery, one of the country’s largest Black-owned breweries. The festival features over 100 Black-owned businesses showcasing their craft beer and culinary expertise, “combining entertainment, education, and community economics.”

Oktoberfest at the Helen Festhalle
Helen’s Oktoberfest, now in its 52nd year, is the longest-running Oktoberfest in the U.S. The months-long celebration features everything from beer to bratwurst and polka to Lederhosen. Unfortunately, hotel accommodations can grow scarce during Oktoberfest, so make reservations early!
