Get ready to sing and dance the night away to the soulful sounds of Kirk Franklin and Maverick City Music.

Grammy award-winning collective Maverick City Music and 16-time Grammy winner Kirk Franklin announced they are extending their “Kingdom” arena tour. The 14-date extension kicks off Nov. 3 in New York City, with stops in Philadelphia, Boston, Louisville and of course, Atlanta.

It was just a few months ago that the “Kingdom” tour made its way to Atlanta, with a completely packed house.

This extension comes as no surprise - the two acts have been breaking records with the first leg of the tour with more than 10,000 fans in attendance each night, selling out venues like Crypto.com Arena, which seats 20,000 and consistently placing in the Top 10 of all tours on Pollstar.

“Having 13,000 people in a room worshiping and encountering God together feels like the good old days” said Tony Brown, co-founder and CEO of Maverick City. “It’s something unspeakable. These rooms are a representation of what church looks like, all nations and backgrounds coming together to love God and one another.”

Franklin is a legend in the music world, having earned 16 Grammy Awards, multiple platinum-selling records and racking up several Hot 100 hits, including “Stomp,” “Lean on Me,” and “I Smile.”

The Atlanta-based Maverick City Music ensemble has seen major success of their own. The collective won a Best Contemporary Christian Music Album Grammy this year for “Old Church Basement” as well as making appearances on the BET Awards, NPR’s Tiny Desk, The View and even appearing on the TODAY Show.

Kirk Franklin and Maverick City Music are set to perform at State Farm Arena Nov. 15. Presale tickets are available now and general public tickets go on sale Sept. 9 at 10 a.m. I was lucky enough to catch them last time they were here in Atlanta and if it’s anything like that show, I just may need to buy tickets again.
