‘Married to Medicine’ season 9: Find out which OG’s are returning and meet the newbie

Season nine of “Married to Medicine” is almost here and while a lot of the OG cast members are back, there is a new face in the mix.

The “Married to Medicine” cast has had several cast changes throughout the seasons, however, it did not fall short on entertainment. We’ve seen the ladies and their husbands figure out relationship issues, try to make it through friendship drama, go through financial woes and even divorces – so season nine should be no different. So, who is coming back for another season? Will we get to see new faces? You know I’ve got the scoop!

Dr. Simone Whitmore

Dr. Simone is a fan favorite and one of the original cast members of the show. I love that we had a chance to see Dr. Simone and her husband Cecil work through their marital issues and are now on the other side of it – we even get to see them having lunch with Omarosa in the trailer for this upcoming season. I think we’re all wondering how fellow cast member Quad is going to feel when she sees Dr. Simone tell a few of the ladies about a rumor she heard – that Quad slept with one of her contractors. The drama!

Toya Bush-Harris

Another OG cast member, Bush-Harris seems to have a lot going on this season. In the trailer, we see her and her husband, Dr. Eugene get into it. It seems to imply Bush-Harris is not happy with the amount of time they spend together. Their situation must get extreme because, at one point, we see Dr. Eugene say, “I don’t know how much longer I can do this.” Viewers also see what looks like Bush-Harris getting into a physical confrontation with another woman on the show – we don’t exactly get a clear picture of who the other woman is but we will find out soon enough!

Dr. Jacqueline Walters aka Dr. Jackie

Dr. Jackie has also been around since season one. She seems to be having a good time with the ladies this season during their girl’s trip to Las Vegas. Later, in true Dr. Jackie nature, we see her trying to help fix a friendship with Dr. Heavenly and another cast member of which we don’t quite know the identity.

Quad Webb

It looks like we’ll be seeing a lot more of this season one vet in season nine. While Webb was an original cast member, she only had a recurring role last season as opposed to one of the main ones. She seems to have her hands full with her nephew Mason, who she jokes “has moved in.” Webb left viewers saying, “who is she talking about?!” when she mentioned that the streets of Atlanta are talking about a mystery someone sleeping around.

Dr. Heavenly Kimes

Dr. Heavenly has been a regular cast member since season two and has been bringing the drama ever since! She always seems to be getting into it with someone and it looks like this season, it’s with Dr. Contessa. We also get to see a more relaxed side of Dr. Heavenly, as she seemed to be getting really comfortable at the ‘adult entertainment show - spanking of the dancers included!

Dr. Contessa Metcalfe

Dr. Contessa made her way to the show in season five. She’s had her share of ups and downs within her marriage and with the ladies. She and Dr. Heavenly seem to really go at it this season, to the point where the other ladies are holding them back from getting into a physical altercation. On a brighter note, it looks like work is going well, particularly on the day when she seemed to be checking out the health of what looked to be a fitness model.

Anila Sajja

Just coming on board last season, Sajja has made a name for herself amongst the ladies. This season we see more of her family who we got to know in season eight. It looks like her parents are either visiting or have moved in, and when her husband tries to establish ground rules for the house, her mom gets very upset and rips up the paper the rules appear to be on. Sajja also goes through a traumatic situation this season – it appears someone broke into her home and stole her wedding ring, family heirlooms and “every piece of jewelry,” Sajja said.

Audra Frimpong

Looks like viewers are getting some fresh meat this season! Audra Frimpong is a real estate attorney engaged to Dr. Martin Curry. She is said to have a very strong personality – and now that I take a second look, she might be the person Bush-Harris gets into a physical altercation with! Only time will tell.
