What a whirlwind season four has been, but one thing is for certain, we need answers in season five!

SPOILER ALERT! If you haven’t seen the last two episodes of season four of Netflix’s hit series, “Stranger Things,” now would be the time to stop reading – I would never want to spoil it for you because it was epic! I’ve made a list of the top five questions that season five must answer or I’ll have to go to Hawkins myself.

Will Max come out of her coma?

One of the saddest parts of this season! Although Eleven was able to ultimately get Max back, Vecna’s plan got far enough to land Max in a coma. He broke her legs and arms, not to mention, her heart stopped for more than a minute. While Eleven was able to ‘piggyback’ into Max’s mind and at least bring her back enough for her to be in a coma, it might be too late for her. Once the gang was reunited in the hospital, we saw Eleven try to jump into Max’s mind again but this time, she didn’t find her, only a completely empty, black void.

But what if she’s hiding in another memory and that’s why Eleven didn’t see her? Maybe a really good memory that Eleven doesn’t have access to? Seems a little unlikely because Eleven usually never has an issue finding anyone in their memories. So many questions but here’s to hoping Max is hiding in the light!

Is Will going to be okay? And what’s the deal with him and Mike?

It wasn’t long ago that we saw Will get kidnapped and taken to the darkness of the upside-down. And in the final episodes of season four, we see an all too familiar scene – the hairs rising on the back of Will’s neck. So does this mean Vecna will soon be after Will? Also, the Stranger Things creators, collectively known as the Duffer brothers, revealed the upside-down has been frozen in time since Will’s initial disappearance in 1984. This storyline is said to be a major plot focus in the final season, according to Matt Duffer.

Also, how about this scene between Will and Mike? Was I the only one who thought when Will was saying “El” (Eleven), that he was really talking about himself? It seems like Will’s brother Johnathan also got that vibe because, during their deep conversation in the kitchen, Johnathan made a point to emphasize that he’ll accept Will no matter what. I’m interested to see where they take the storyline between Will and Mike – and if Will would confess his implied feelings.

Have we really seen the last of Eddie?

Oh, Eddie. The character we probably all started off disliking became the unsung hero. After being on the run the whole season, in his last moments, he made the ultimate sacrifice and stopped running – which cost him his life – or so we think! I’m just saying, after becoming the character we really wanted to see win and get proven innocent, he can’t just be gone, right? Plus, his amazing metal solo was a major part of saving the day! Watch for yourself below.

How will Vecna make his grand return?

Although it would be nice if he was actually gone for good, we know Vecna is not going away that easy. We may have thought we saw the last of him when Robin and Steve set him on fire, then Nancy shot him over and over again - but once they went to see his body after he fell out of the window, Vecna was nowhere to be found. So now that Vecna’s plan has wreaked havoc on Hawkins, how will he come back to finish the job? And can he truly be defeated?

Will the upside-down and all of its monsters ever really be destroyed?

Just like head honcho, Vecna, the upside-down keeps coming back like a bad pimple. It has continued to give Hawkins hell, and now that gates are open anything is possible. The question is, what will it take to get rid of the upside-down? And if you get rid of Vecna, does that get rid of the upside-down and vice versa? One of the scariest things - all of the creatures the upside-down has and how deadly they can be to anyone that gets in their way!

I’m still trying to process everything that happened in season four but my nerves won’t rest until I see how it all plays out in the final season of “Stranger Things.” Let’s hope we don’t have to wait too long!
