New video games out this week:

"Call of Duty: Black Ops III." (Available Friday) The online social experience that is "Call of Duty" games these days continues with four-player cooperative play (at least on the next-gen console and PC) and improvements to character movement. All versions get a full "Zombies" mode in addition to online multiplayer. Rated M for Mature. $50-$200 in various Standard, Deluxe and "Juggernog Edition" sets for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Windows PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

"Need for Speed." The franchise gets a reboot after 2012's well-received "Most Wanted." The new racing game offers five modes, "Speed," "Style," "Build," "Crew" and "Outlaw," each with its own narrative in what Electronic Arts calls, "A West Coast urban setting." Rated T for Teen. $60-$70 in Standard and Deluxe Editions for Xbox One, PS4, PC, Xbox 360 and PS3.
