Free chocolate tarts at La Madeleine

Aug 10, 2015Celebrate Julia Child’s birthday at La Madeleine Country French Cafe and get a free treat.
On Tuesday, Aug. 11, La Madeleine is honoring the legacy of the legendary cook by giving customers a free mini chocolate tart covered in almonds. The tarts were Child’s favorite dessert and La Madeleine founder Patrick Esquerre encountered Child many times at cultural events where they both spoke of French culture, cuisine, and “joie de vivre.”
Visit any of the three participating metro area restaurants and say “Joyeux Anniversaire, Julia Child!” to receive a free dessert.
