If you’re tired of watching the same old fairy tales with your kids, get ready for a twist on classic Disney characters.  Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment has released “Descendants,” now available on DVD.

The story, from director and choreographer Kenny Ortega of the “High School Musical” franchise, is an original tale featuring reinvented classic Disney characters in a modern story.

Tween offspring of the kids of Maleficent (Kristin Chenoweth), the Evil Queen, Jafar, and Cruella de Vil have never left the “Isle of the Lost” where they were raised. But now they will be attending prep school at Auradon with the children of Disney heroes. Initially, the children of the bad guys work on a plan to help their evil parents get back on top, but ultimately Maleficent’s daughter (Dove Cameron) and the band of rebel teens have to decide between being bad like their parents or choosing the path of goodness.

The DVD includes bonus footage and bloopers as well as an “Isle of the Lost” bracelet. I have 5 copies to give to five randomly selected readers who enter as follows:
