There are a lot of ways to save by using apps on your smartphone.

One of my favorite apps as a couponer is the ibotta app. I have saved a lot of money using this app over the past year. Below are some of my favorite ways to save using the ibotta app:

Download it now

In order to save with apps for your smartphone, you must download it. Go the iphone App or Google store and download it to your phone. Once you have it downloaded, open it up and review the different ways you can save. There are several sections on items that you purchase almost every day. Some of these categories include but are not limited to, grocery, apparel, beauty and wellness, electronics, beer, wine and spirits, etc.

Make your grocery list and check ibotta twice

We all have our favorite grocery stores where we love to shop and you can find several of these stores listed in ibotta. So it doesn’t matter if you don’t have a store in your area because you can always find it in the ibotta app. Some of the stores listed are Kroger, Wal-Mart, Target, Publix, CVS, Ingles, Walgreens, Rite Aid, etc. As you are creating your grocery list, be sure to check for ibotta savings that offer an additional rebate. There will be a price to showing how much you can get back for the product along with any requirements. Sometimes you may have to watch a video or answer a question right within the app. “Learn to Unlock.”Once you unlock the savings, it will remain in the app until expiration.

Scan that receipt

After you have purchased the item, be sure to verify the product barcode and proceed with uploading the receipt. Within the rebate, it will show you that it is on your shopping list. Scan your receipt and await your rebate to be uploaded to your account. Once you get to a $10 minimum, you can cash out with specific gift cards or paypal.
