New video games this week:

"Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin." The first two "Dark Souls" games had a reputation for being notoriously difficult (or "Challenging" for even expert game players). This bulked up edition of the sequel brings the gameplay to the next-gen consoles, but is also available for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, including downloadable content previously only available online. Rated M for Mature. $40-$60 for PS3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. .

"Xenoblade Chronicles 3D." A remake of the classic role-playing game available only for the new Nintendo 3DS (due to processing power and new buttons on the game system). Rated T for Teen. $40, for 3DS.

Also out this week: "Etrian Mystery Dungeon" (3DS), "Hover: Revolt of Gamers" (Windows PC), "Fallen: A2P Protocol" (PC), "The Falling Sun" (PC), "The Reject Demon: Toko Chapter 0 – Prelude" (PC), "Blue Estate" (PC), "Bloodsports.TV" (PC), "Monster Jam Battlegrounds" (Xbox 360), "StarDrive 2" (PC), "Affordable Space Adventures" (Nintendo Wii U), "Dead Synchronicity: Tomorrow Comes Today' (PC).
