One of our readers has never asked a guy out or approached men at all. She is usually shy and waits for the guy, but now she sees someone at her favorite coffee shop every week. She has tried to say something but chickens out. What advice do you have for someone who has never asked anyone out?

I think men are simple and probably would be fine with “Hi, my name is” but what ways should women approach men? I usually make up a question to ask or request their help.

When you approach someone you don’t know, what do you say that won’t come across creepy or weird?
