Atlanta is in for a breezy, cool night.

After reaching a high of 53 degrees, temperatures are in the 40s in Atlanta, Channel 2 Action News reported.

It’s currently 43 degrees, but with 12 mph winds, it feels like 39.

“We'll be clear with a lighter breeze and turning cold overnight,” Channel 2 meteorologist Brad Nitz said.

Temps are expected to be near freezing Thursday morning, but gradually rise to 56 by the afternoon, the news station reported. Friday should be warmer and reach 58 degrees. The average high this time of year is 53.

The good news is above-average temps are in the forecast through Sunday, when Atlanta could come close to 60 degrees, according to Channel 2.

Rain isn’t in the forecast until late Saturday, when there is a 40 percent chance. That’s expected to increase to 70 percent Sunday, Nitz said.
